Survival or Collapse
In October 2012, a car bomb exploded under the windows of my studio in Beirut. The pieces created in the aftermath are the expression of my inner reactions towards this violent event.
They tell of the fatal incident as well of a genuine rebirth – an ode to a country that is constantly getting back to its feet.
“I still have my hands. And clay is really nothing. We can do a lot here with nothing” NK in Frieze Magazine (no 152) “Everything and nothing, on working as an artist in Beirut today” by Kaelen Wilson-Goldie.
